Sling addict, SAHM to a little boy born in May 2011.

Although I am often guilty of being an all or nothing person (but trying not to be), and do like it when things fit neatly into categories, I can’t quite cope with parenting labels and don’t feel like I fit in with any one parenting philosophy. I am just trying to follow my instincts, and nurture my baby, myself and my family.

You might think I sound like a bit of a hippy, maybe I am, instincts are important to me especially in my parenting journey. However I would like to make it clear that people/organisations that make claims about babies sleep or health without any good quality evidence to back it up make me angry. You are not going to find any love for amber necklaces, homoeopathy or sleep consultants here.

I spend way to much time thinking about and researching slings, and one of the reasons I started this blog is to help spread the sling love. I also love the simple craft projects that my boy and I do together. I have also recently started sewing projects of my own when my boy is asleep or being otherwise entertained. I hope to use this blog to share these projects with the world.

Thankyou for your comment on my blog the other day.

I have had a read around your blog and like it, and I like what you stand for.

I was wondering if you would like to join our team. If you publish an article, I am happy to republish it on my blog with full links back to your blog. (example: http://katesurfs.wordpress.com/http://parentingcentral.com.au/category/all-articles/kate/ )
